vir, viri, m. man. [2nd declension]

vis, (gen. not in use), acc. vim, abl. vi; pl. vires, -ium, f. strength, force, power [3rd declension]

-ibus is a 3rd declension ending, so “viribus” will never mean “men.”

I feel like this is my professor after grading our finals. I definitely did this.
